As I mentioned in my last post, this was a session that almost didn't happen. I'm so very glad it did! The overcast skies gave us nice even light and only a few drops of rain fell as we were finishing up the final few shots.
Sarah + Davin were so fun to work with right off the bat. It is such a pleasure, as a photographer, when people really invest themselves in their session. Sarah, a fellow Pinterest addict, had so many fun ideas and details planned. From a yummy pair of blue suede shoes to an adorable vintage bunting - the girl covered it all. Not to mention her Natalie Portman-like gorgeousness! And Davin was compliant ...this boy has learned a lot of lessons on how to keep a gal happy, before the marriage has even begun! He did have one request, however. As we chatted about their wedding day plans, Davin shared his vision of having the rings delivered to the altar by a bird of prey. For any of you that know me, you know I DO NOT like birds...I detest them...I am terrified of them. The bigger, the badder. Unfortunately, Davin could not have me as a photographer and his bird...so we settled on an elephant ;)
** a huge thanks to Colleen at Vintage Home for the use of her awesome retro stool. It was perfect!
