five + fabulous {personal}

If you have a five year old little girl in your life, you know how it is. There is plenty of giggling, spinning, ballet-ing, imagining, goofy-ing, questioning, princess-ing, wiggling, tickling, hugging, kissing, drawing, homework-doing, crafting, iphone gaming and just plain loving. At least that's how it is with my freshly turned five year old, Halle Ruth. I have to use two hands to count how many times a day she tells me she loves me. She considers it an honor to babysit her sisters and clean my baseboards. She would love to be older...she is desperate for school and real homework. She spends hours each day doing math and letter workbooks, can add up to 20 in her head, and one of her most prized possessions is her calculator from her Grampy. These days her baby sister is her most favourite person. She loves Jesus...a lot. A visit to the museum is likely to be followed by hours, actually days, discussing the specifics of the distinction of the wooly mammoth.  She has it arranged with her Dad that when he goes to heaven, she gets his phone. Her heart is tender...she hates to disappoint people. She knows just how to push her middle sisters button and does so with a twinkle in her eye. She loves to sing.  She is my precious, precious baby... she turned me from a woman into a mother. I most definitely will  be that mom crying when she starts kindergarten this fall. Happy birthday to the most fabulous five year old I have ever known...I love you Hals :)
