jordan + elizabeth {pitt meadows wedding photography}

This wedding was such a joy to photograph! Jordan + Elizabeth ( you can see their engagement post here) are high school sweethearts; so for their family, friends and the couple themselves, this wedding has been a long time coming.
Like most weddings, Jordan + Liz had many details that made their day unique and personal. From the groom serenading the bride down the aisle, to the paper lanterns carefully lit at the end of the reception, the day reflected a couple that is strong, loyal and oh, so in love.
This was also our first time photographing a tea ceremony. It is a tradition I have heard of and seen photographs from, but had yet to experience. What a fabulous ceremony...I love the heritage, symbolism and kindness that it encompasses. What a beautiful day.

{the chance to wear two beautiful gowns in one day is always a good thing}

{the beautiful Elizabeth}

{the guys opted out of getting ready photos, but Steve was able to document a few "tie" lessons at the church}

{Jordan composed, sang and played a song for his bride as she was escorted down the aisle by her father}
{Definitely one of the most moving ceremony moments I have ever witnessed}

{following the ceremony, the bride's family put on an amazing luncheon of traditional fare from their native Singapore. Delicious!}

{Jordan and Liz chose some amazing locations for their portraits. The first spot was this little patch of heaven off the side of the road in Pitt Meadows}

{on our way to the reception, we were able to sneak away with just the bride and groom to Pitt Lake. Steve and I have both never been there before, and we can't wait to go back}

{following portraits, we made our way to Golden Eagle Golf Club for the tea ceremony and reception}

{we couldn't resist a few more photos of the newlyweds in their second ensemble}

{and then...it was party time}

Jordan + Liz ~ Your day was spectacular! Thank you for the honour of spending your wedding with you and capturing those moments. We wish you all the best .....
I also have to say a huge thanks to my friend Bethany of Somerville Photography. Bethany is Jordan's sister and beginning a photography business too! It was great to have her join us for the day :)
